CLEWs Steering Committee
The CLEWs framework is reaching wider and more diverse audiences since it was first mentioned in the in 2009 in a working paper from IAEA. It has moved from a diagnostic and policy coherence assessment tool, applied in the case studies of Mauritius and Burkina Faso (see publications section), to being included in several national and sub-regional initiatives of resource systems analysis. Many of these counted with the participation of relevant stakeholders from nexus sectors and also capacity building activities related to the ongoing nexus assessments.
On Monday, June 26th 2017 the 1st CLEWs Steering Committee took place in the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy as part of the OPTIMUS Community workshop. Consisting of researchers, planners, as well as staff from United Nations and IIASA, the committee discussed matters that concern academic excellence, the dissemination of the framework, the enhancement of the methodology as well as future capacity building activities.
